SIX months!!!!

Owen is SIX months old today!!! Like I always say, time flys! He's getting so big!! Literally!! lol! We had to start the day off at the doctor's office so he could get his six month shots. =( You'd think as many times as I've had to go through it with Olivia and now him that it would get easier, but it doesn't. It's just pitiful. It's instant hurt and then they'll just look at you and cry. It breaks my heart every time.
Here he is waiting to see Dr.Joyce and waiting to get the dreaded shots. Like I said, he's getting to be one big boy!
He weighs: 16.6 pounds!!
He's also started holding his bottle. It's so cute. I also like to "faux-hawk" his hair. LOL! Dr. Joyce said she guessed since he doesn't have very much hair that I have to do something with what he's got and she's right about that. All of his hair is on top. He's pretty much bald in the back. LOL!
Unfortunately, he's still not sleeping through the night. We usually get up with him around 3 to 4 times a night!! Thankfully Ben's a great dad and we usually split the time between us. However, Dr. Joyce said we can start him on baby food today so maybe that will help. He will not eat the rice cereal. I've tried and tried and tried and he HATES it. So we've just been giving him his formula and half strength apple juice. We've finally got a formula that he's satisfied with. He's now on Enfamil for Fussiness and Gas. It's helped out a bunch, but like I said, he's still not sleeping. It makes it hard because Olivia has always slept, but Owen is just a totally different baby.
He's definitely wired differently than Olivia. She's always slept through the night and has always had a pretty good appetite, but he doesn't have those traits. He's can just wear me out. I love him dearly, but he likes to be held and Olivia was just never that way. She's always been Miss Independent. But he's so sweet. I just can't believe how big he's getting. People kill me because I took them with me to Wal-Mart the other day and Olivia was sitting in the front and Owen was in the buggie in his carrier and someone said, "look, twins!" I mean really? Really? First off, yes they are almost the same size, but one is walking and talking and the other one is in a baby carrier. It doesn't really make sense to me.
However, this is one way to get Owen to light up. I think this is the happiest that I've ever seen him. This is his little girlfriend Keeli (or Kiki as Olivia calls her). She's two weeks younger then Owen, but he just loves her. They came over the other day for a play date and him and her had the best time. They just look at one another and try to grab each other. It's so cute! I can't wait until they get older and they can really play with one another. They're so sweet!

Owen,
You have made our lives complete! I bawled and scawled when we found out that we were having you, but now that you're here, I wouldn't trade it for the world! Your sister absolutely adores you and I have to say your daddy and I feel the same. You are my sweet little man and I'm so glad God blessed us with you!!
We love you!!
Mommy, Daddy & Sissy
