The Park & A New Friend

We are LOVING this warmer weather and we've been trying to take as much advantage of it as possible! Today we went to the park and Ben got to come along. (He usually has to work on Saturdays, but thankfully today he was off and got to go enjoy the pretty weather with us).

Olivia isn't too sure about the slide, but she went down it a few times with her daddy. =)

And a couple times with me. =)

She really just liked to run around the playground...

And she crawled through the tunnel.

I think Owen just liked being outside in the warmer weather. ;-)

We had a fun time at the park as a family. I look forward to many more park outings!

We also made a new friend...

He's the newest addition to our family!

Olivia absolutely adores him.

(I think if he'd let her she'd ride him like a horse. LOL!)

Updates & Playdates

We have been busy little bees around here.

I have gone back to work at Stone's. Stone's was my first "real" job.

It's a pharmacy here in town and I first started working there when I was a junior in high school and I worked there for 7 years. Well, now a job and two kids later, I'm back. I'm only working three days a week which is wonderful because I still can get out of the house

and keep my sanity, but I can still be with my kids. It really is the best of both worlds.. working and staying at home. Yesterday was my first day back and I really enjoyed it. I wasn't too sure what I would think after being home for so long, but going back there was like coming back home. I love everyone I work with and we all get along really well, so going to work is just fun.

Other than work, a couple of my friends and I have been getting together with the kiddos for playdates. It's playdate Wednesday. I'm loving it!

Best friends for life- Kenlee & Olivia.

Olivia has to kiss Kenlee, Keeli & Owen several times while we're all together. Ha!

I think Owen enjoyed our little playdate... he decided to take a little nap. LOL!

I can't wait until it gets a little warmer outside so we can take the kiddos to the park.

I don't think I could ever say this enough, but I'm so glad that all of our kids are getting to grow up together! It's so much fun!

Owen 2 Months

It's hard to believe that two months have already went by,

but they have and Owen is now TWO months old!

He weighs 11 lbs. & 12 oz.

His height is 21"

His head circumference is 15 1/4"

I have to say, he's momma's little man. =)

He's still not sleeping thru the night.

He usually wakes up at least twice a night.

However, I took him to a massage therapist last week

to see if she could help with his colic/acid reflux

and since then he has slept one full night in his OWN bed.

YAY! Because on the nights that he doesn't sleep,

he's either put in our bed or his swing,

so I'm hoping he'll start sleeping in his bed.

He's also on Enfamil for fussiness & gas formula.

I was nursing, but it was not settling good with him

and his stomach seemed to be worse,

so we switched him to formula

and it has helped.

He's also started smiling and cooing.

It's the cutest thing!

I had to take both him and Olivia to get shots today. =(

Here they are waiting to see the doctor.

I have to say that I think we've adjusted

quite well since Owen's arrival.

I figured Olivia would try to kill him,

but as you can see from the picture above,

she loves him dearly!

She has to kiss him at least 100 times a day

and if he gets fussy and she doesn't think that

I'm getting to him quick enough,

she starts freaking out.

I think she's going to be a very protective big sister!

All in all, we're having the time of our lives

with our two babies.

Chuckie Cheese & Ice Cream

Saturday was a busy day.

 I got up,

went to Zumba, a birthday party,

Chuckie Cheese, to eat & ended up at the mall.

Like I said, busy day.

Our first stop (after Zumba)

was my little cousin, Landon's birthday party.

After Landon's party at their house,

we all went to Chuckie Cheese.

Ben had played in a corn-hole tournament earlier

and he couldn't go to the birthday party at their house,

but he met up with us for the trip to Chuckie Cheese.

My mom kept Owen for us so we could just take Olivia

 and let me tell you, that was a HUGE help

because Chuckie Cheese was a CRAZY mad-house!

I'm not sure what Olivia really thought of it all,

but she "played" a couple of the games.

Since Chuckie Cheese was so crazy,

we didn't eat there, we went to El Chico's instead.

And who can avoid the ice cream?

Obviously, not these two. LOL!

I'm pretty sure she LOVED it!

Food, Friends & Fun Times

Friday night we met up with some of our friends to catch up!

It had been FOREVER since all of us got together.

A little background info...

If you look at our group of friends,

you would think that a few months ago

that we all got together and planned to get pregnant.

To much disbelief, it was not planned,

but three of my best friends and myself all had babies

within months of one another

and Friday night all us of except one,

got together to eat and catch up.

Even though Kayla & Jenny are the one's holding the babies,

they are not their mommas.

They're the babies aunties. =)

She was too funny last night because

she just kept eating & eating & eating!

You can tell by looking at her that

 she doesn't miss any meals! LOL!

We had lots of fun catching up with our friends

and I'm so excited that all of our babies are going

to get to grow up with one another!

Sixteen Months

Olivia,

 you are SIXTEEN MONTHS old today!

Boy time sure does fly!

What have you been up to these days?

You are into EVERYTHING and are on the go ALL the time.

You are very much a people person.

Everywhere we go you have to tell everyone "hi" & "bye."

People think it's the cutest thing.

I don't think that you'll ever meet a stranger.

(I'm not sure yet if that's a good thing or a bad thing).

You weigh around 22 lbs.

We'll find out exactly how much you

weigh Monday at your doctor's appt.

You're getting to be one big girl.

I can't get you to stay still for nothing.

(Example, picture above).

Your favorite food by far is CHICKEN NUGGETS!

But, for the most part, you will eat just about anything.

You no longer take a bottle! (YAY!!!)

You sleep thru the night.

You usually go to bed around 7 or 8 at night

and then wake up around 8:30 or 9 the next morning.

You also take really good nap(s).

You usually take a nap around 11am and wake up at 1pm.

You are very much on a schedule!

(Hallelujah!)

However, you've become quite the stinker lately.

We like to say that you're hitting the terrible two's early. UGH!

For some reason you like to hit these days

and needless to say I'm not a fan!

We're working on it.

I'm hoping you get out of this "phase" sometime soon.

But then, there are days, like yesterday,

when I'm sitting on the couch and you come up

and hug and kiss me... repeatedly.

It's sooo SWEET!!!!!

You're a great big sister!

I can't wait until you and Owen can actually play together!

We love you and Owen more than anything in this whole world!

You both make are lives complete!

My 100th Post

Wow! It's been awhile since I've updated this thing.

We've been busy little bees lately.

I guess that goes without saying when you have two babies.

Since my last post...

Owen is now 1 month old... almost two months.

Olivia is 15 months... almost 16 months.

They're growing up way to fast!

Olivia is in to EVERYTHING!!

She's one funny girl. She talks constantly.

(Not sure where she gets that from. LOL!)

She loves to play.

She loves getting all of her toys out.

She plays and plays and plays.

Her two favorite shows are:

Olivia & Wheel of Fortune.

Yes, you read that right, Wheel of Fortune.

It's hilarious when it comes on because she just goes wild.

I guess she has a thing for Pat. LOL!!!

She's also quit taking her bottle at night before she goes to bed.

Now we just lay her in bed and she goes right off to sleep.

Praise the Lord!

She pretty much eats everything that we eat,

but I have to say her favorite thing is chicken nuggets

and she loves Happy Meals from McDonald's.

She's getting to be so big.

She LOVES Owen!

She has to give him a kiss at least 100 times a day.

It's the sweetest thing.

What has Owen been up to...

When we last took him to the doctor he weighed 10 lbs. 3 oz.

He's one BIG boy!

He's still sleeping in the bed with us. =(

I wish that we could get him to sleep in his bed,

but he's just not having it.

We've also had to start supplementing with formula

because he was just getting WAY too fussy and spitting up a lot.

We've got him on Enfamil for fussiness and gas

and it seems to be working really good.

He's starting to grow out of his newborn clothes =(

Some of them still fit, but some of them are just way too small.

Other than that, he's pretty sweet.

When I was pregnant with him, I thought it would be horrible to have two babies this close together, but they're so sweet with one another that I wouldn't want it any other way.
