Show Us Your Life ~ Favorite Kids Shops

Today over at Kelly's Korner ~ Show Us Your Life it's all about favorite kid's shops. I love shopping for my kiddos. I get asked quite often where I get Olivia's clothes and most of them I buy from a friend of mine, but she gets them from some of my favorite places.
I love The Plaid Rabbit. It's a cute children's botique store in Murray. One of my other favorites is Tot N Teen in Paducah. Both of these stores carry some of my most FAVORITE designs such as Petit Ami, LaJenn's and Potato Saks.
Yes, both of these stores are high $$$ , but when they have sales, they have sales! A couple of years ago my mom bought Olivia a LaJenn's Christmas outfit regularly priced $98 and she got it for like $28!!

That's the outfit and luckily she will get to wear it again this year!! YAY!!!
However, I'm also a HUGE fan of consignment shops. My most favorite consignment shop is Twice Upon A Time. It's located in Paducah. They're prices are very reasonable and I love the owner Jennifer, she is just the sweetest.
For Owen, I love the consignment stores and buying clothes from friends. My favorite brands for him are Ralph Lauren Polo, Carter's and Crazy8.
Here's my little man with a mix up of some of my favorite things, Carter's and Polo. :)
I've always been obsessed with shoes, but I guess I'm passing that on to both of my kids because for Owen, I LOVE Robeez! For Olivia, I love Squeaker Shoes and I also love Puddle Jumper Shoes.
I've always loved to shop, but now it's even more exciting because I get to shop for my little kiddos and who doesn't love that?
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

Show Us Your Life ~ Show Us What You Make

This week over at Kelly's Korner
It's Show Us What You Make...

I have to admit, I never thought I would ever want a sewing machine
or would ever want to "make" anything.
However, while I was pregnant with Olivia, that all changed.
I suddenly became obsessed with tutus, hair bows, headbands, flowers, etc.
I knew that Olivia was going to be born right around Halloween
and this was my very first tutu and flower set that I ever made.
She was 8 days old in this picture. =)
Here is my sweet girl again with another one of my crazy flower/crocheted hat creations. :-)
Then for Valentine's Day I had the bright idea of a MAJOR hot pink, light pink & white tutu. As you can see the final product above. ha.

For me, like I said, I NEVER ever thought that I would want to make tutus or hair bows or headbands, etc. But that has all changed. I now can't imagine not wanting to make anything. ha.

I don't have an etsy shop site set up yet, but I'm working on that.
I recently acquired a sewing machine (previously I was sewing all that by hand).
I'm now hoping to start making pillowcase dresses, little outfits, appliqued shirts, etc.
If you're interested in any of my designs then shoot me an e-mail @ harpamanda@gmail.com.
I'm hoping to have my etsy site up soon.

But I have to leave with one final question...
What do you make?
Go on over to Kelly's Korner and link up.

Happy Friday!!

Show Us Your Life ~ Random Acts of Kindness

Today over at Kelly's Korner for Show Us Your Life...
It's Random Acts of Kindness

I love random acts of kindness.
A little something that may not mean much to you could be the world to someone else.

My random acts of kindness thoughts are:
1. Pay for the order for the car behind you in the drive-thru
(I had never thought of this before until the Christian radio station, AFR was holding the "Drive-thru Difference" I thought this was the neatest idea).
2. Fixing a meal and taking it to someone who just had a baby, surgery or just got out of the hospital.
3. Help an elderly person put their groceries in their car.
4. Help an elderly person to their car.
5. Mow someone's yard.
6. Surprise your pastor and clean the church
(At our church we don't have a janitor).
7. Mow someone's yard.
8. Pay someone a compliment.
9. Open the door for another person.
10. Deliver baked goods to a nursing home, hospital, school, etc.

I know some of these "acts" are big and some are small, but you never know what kind of impact you could make on someone's day just by being nice.

Favorite Books/Children's Books

Show Us Your Life with Kelly's Korner
Today is Friday and over at Kelly's Korner she is hosting
"Show Us Your Life ~ Favorite Books/Children's Books"
Check it out!

I love reading to Olivia.
We just sit in her glider and I read away.
I loved when she was only a few weeks old and at night when she would get up for her feeding I would feed her and then read to her.
I will always cherish those memories. :-)
My favorite book to read to her.. by far... is
I absolutely love everything about it...
"I love you forever
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
My baby you'll be"
For me, being a mom... that is sooo very true.

For myself...
I LOVE to read... when I have time (isn't that what most mom's say). Ha!
I like "fluffy" good reads.. nothing too serious.. just a cute book to get lost in.
Some of my favorites are:

What are your favorite reads?

Happy Friday!
