Blessed

I want to start off this post by saying how truly thankful I am that I serve such an AMAZING God!!! Ben works part time at the hospital. Well, he hasn't worked all week, so last night I told him, "I really wish you could work one day this week because then you would have a regular paycheck" (one I've already budgeted for). It wasn't five minutes after I said that, that he received a text message asking him if he wanted to work today!!! What Ben didn't know was that earlier I had prayed over our finances and told God that He knew what we needed and sure enough, HE SUPPLIED OUR NEEDS!!!! Like I said in my last post, God will supply ALL our needs according to His riches in Glory!!! I'm so thankful and so blessed!!!
Nevertheless, I guess this all ties into my post because I wanted to post about our Easter.
We had such a great Easter. The kids had so much fun hunting eggs and I was so proud of my church kids for their performance at church. It was really a great day!! I enjoyed being able to spend Sunday celebrating the resurrection of my Savior, Jesus Christ!!! He's so awesome, I really can't say that enough. :) Since we were all decked out in our Easter duds we decided to take some family pics.
Here's all of us, well except for Owen, cheesing it up. lol! We were all saying, "CHEESE"!
Here's little Miss and little Mister. One of my friends on Facebook commented and said, "look there's Ben and Amanda." lol! I think she's right, except their hair looks extremely red in this picture. It's actually strawberry blond.
After our morning service, we came back to church at 4:00 for our Easter egg hunt.
Little Miss loved hunting all the eggs. She actually did pretty good. She'd run and pick them up and put them in her basket and then she'd go off to the next one.
Owen on the other hand, he didn't quite seem to get the concept.
He just wanted to play in the grass. :)

I enjoyed all of our festivities at church, but most of all I enjoyed spending time with my family and celebrating the One who gave it all for me. I hope you had a wonderful Easter and remember that it's not about a Bunny or eggs or even Peeps, but we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus!

The Tomb Is Empty!

Easter is such a wonderful time to celebrate our Risen Saviour! I know that we need to celebrate Him everyday, but to have a particular day set aside and celebrate what Jesus did for us when He died on the cross and rose again is just amazing! As I've gotten older, Easter seems to have a more special meaning to me. I remember when I was little I would wake up on Easter morning and go running to our bathroom (that's where my Easter basket always was... random, I know) and tear into my Easter basket. I could not wait to see what the "Easter bunny" had brought me. After I would get my Easter basket we would go to church (in my pjs) for our sunrise service, then eat breakfast, then come home and change into my "Easter dress" and then go back to church. Fun fun. Now, Easter means something TOTALLY different! Easter, to me, is giving God the glory for EVERYTHING that He has done for us and just taking extra time out of our busy schedule and acknowledging that we serve an awesome and amazing God who sent His only son to die on the cross and on the third day rose again to save us! He is truly amazing!!

Here Comes Peter Cottontail

This Easter was such an exciting time for our family. Unfortunately, Owen was sick and I had to keep him in so he didn't get to come to our church Easter egg hunt. However, sister and I went and she was just hilarious.
When she started hunting the easter eggs, after she got a few eggs in her basket, she just wanted to dump them all out and then she would just laugh. It was so funny.
She looked real thrilled in this picture. LOL!
Here she is playing with one of her eggs that she found.
Still playing with the eggs... needless to say, the eggs weren't in the basket for very long.
Here she is on the move... again.

I wish that Owen could have been there with us, but I have to say just taking Olivia by herself was a trip. Last year she wasn't walking at Easter and it was a lot of fun watching her run around and dump all of her eggs out.

Olivia's 1st Easter

We had a great... busy... but great weekend!
Olivia was soooo good this past weekend!
I think she's over the "sickness." Hallelujah! =)
Anywhos.. besides me rambling...
I LOVE EASTER!!
I love Easter first because JESUS IS ALIVE!
Second... because the Easter bunny comes (well not really, but it's still fun to think so)  and third because we get to get new dresses... cute dresses.. cute pink.. purple... yellow.. spring-time dresses.. smocked dresses...
I have been longing for the day when Olivia could wear her cute bunny rabbit smocked dress and you know what... the day finally arrived... Little Miss O's 1st Easter!
Even though she's mine.. I can't help but say.. she was such a doll yesterday!

I don't think she knew what to think about her Easter basket.
It was filled with so many "goodies." Ha! Mainly clothing items, but she did get a bunny rabbit and a little chicken and then her Mimi and Poppy gave her a chicken with bunny ears that sings "Here comes Peter Cottontail." Ha! It's hilarious!

Stinker-bug and her #1 fan her Daddy
Me & my little Sweetie Pie

My little "pink" family ;-)

The other "pink" family.. Olivia with her Mimi & Poppy

I hope everyone had a wonderful & blessed Easter weekend!
Even though I heart the new clothes and the warm weather and all the good food...
Most of all I HEART that Jesus died on the cross
and rose again!
He IS the REASON for the Season!
Happy Easter!!!!!!
