Parties and Play Dates

The past couple weekends have been busy for us. Last weekend we had Chloe's birthday party at YaYa's. She turned two.
Owen and Olivia both LOVE YaYa's.
Today, we had Jack's birthday party. He also turned two. He had his party at Mike Miller Park and it was so nice! I had never been there, but we loved the park.
Here's Olivia and the birthday boy.
He had a Mickey Mouse themed party. These cupcakes were so cute!
Since Ben had to work today, my mom came along with us.
Before we had cupcakes, we went down to the water and fed the ducks.
Owen liked the ducks.

We also played a little bit.
After we left the party, Corrie and Keeli came over for a play date. I told Olivia they were coming over and she said, "Oh boy! Yippee! I can't wait!!" lol! I don't know where she picks up this stuff.
I think Keeli and Owen were happy to see each other. :-)
They're so cute with each other.

We've had a great day catching up and playing with all of our friends. I hope you're having a great weekend, we sure are!

The Joys of Parenthood

This weekend was CrAzY busy!! I thought we were busy before we had kids, but I don't think we even knew what busy was. Saturday I had to work 8 until 2, but I had to leave a few minutes early because I had to go to a wedding. A lady at our church, Kim, her daughter was getting married. It was a really cute ceremony. I loved the bridesmaid dresses and colors. They were adorable. Of course I didn't have my camera with me, so unfortunately I didn't get to take any pictures. After the wedding, (I didn't even get to stay for the cake), I had to leave and come home and get the kids ready to go to Addi's 4th Birthday Party. Her party was at YaYa's Island. We hadn't ever been to YaYa's, but it was so fun! Owen and Olivia both LOVED it!!
It really is a cute place. They had a place for Owen and for Olivia to play. It was great. Olivia loved it so much that we're going to have her 2nd birthday party there. I personally love it because they do all the set up and clean up for you.
Olivia was excited because "Aunt Allie & Uncle Aust" were there too.
Brother liked crawling around and pulling up on the bouncy floor. Aren't those chubby cheeks just the cutest? ;)
After the party it was still a little early, so Ben, me, the kids and Allie & Austin all went to the mall to do a little shopping. It was fun. The guys took the kids and Allie & I actually got to SHOP!! How often does that happen?? Not very. :) We had a lot of fun. We got some great deals at Dillard's & Charlotte Russe and then we even got our eyebrows threaded. Neither one of us had ever done it, but it was quite interesting. I actually like it better then getting my eyebrows waxed. After that, we met back up with the guys and kiddos and decided it was time to head home since the mall was coming to a close.
Olivia want to carry my bag from Charlotte Russe. She kept saying she was "shopping."
The next morning we went to church and then to eat, but directly after that we headed to Kenlee's 1st Birthday Party!! Like I've said before, all of our friends have kids that literally range from one months to 3 to 4 months apart. It's hilarious when we all get together. Lots of babies and toddlers running around.
Here's the birthday girl!! Doesn't she look adorable? Her party was Owl themed. It was so stinkin' cute!
The kids playing around. :)
Still playing.
The girls together... again. :) It's been awhile since we all have got together, so I was thrilled that even with all the other obligations that we had this weekend that we could get together with some of our closet friends and celebrate Kenlee's birthday! Now I'm ready to go take a nap. LOL!

Hair Bows, a Birthday Party & a Baby Shower

I feel like I've been caught up in a whirlwind.
This weekend was BUSY!!!
Friday night was actually quite relaxing.
We got home from work and I made vegetable lasagna.
It was very yummy. =)
After we ate I took my mom and her co-workers a plate.
(I had made enough lasagna for an army). ha.
After that we just watched TV and relaxed.
It was quite nice.

Now Saturday, on the other hand, was quite exhausting.
Ben was on call this weekend
and we were awaken by his phone ringing.
We got up and I got Olivia.
We ate breakfast and then the day started.
We had several errands to run.
While we were out and about we stopped by my parent's house.
My mom had the great idea of going to eat lunch at Dumplins.
(One of my most favorite places, so how could I resist?)
So we headed to Murray for some shopping and eating.
We went to this one store, which I absolutely love, to browse around.
They have adorable cute handmade clothes/hair bows.
While we were there I had an epiphany...
I decided that I can make Olivia's hair bows.
I have spent WAY too much money in the past on her bows/flowers,
why not learn to make them myself?
Well, that's just what I've done.
This was the first one that I made.
I'm pretty proud of myself. Ha.
It's really not that hard and I can't believe that
I've paid double/triple/quadruple for these before.
By the time we got back home it was time for us to change
and head to a birthday party.
Our friends little girl turned 3.
This was Olivia's first birthday party invitation. =)
I think Ms. Thang enjoyed herself.
I know that she loved the icing on the cupcakes. ha.
I wish that I would have taken some pictures while we were there,
but my camera was dead.

Sunday, we went to church and
then my mom and I went to my friend Megan's baby shower.
Thanks Jesse for taking this "lovely" picture. (Not really).
Here's all the girls. =)
Megan got some REALLY cute stuff.
Then here's all the PREG-O girls.
Megan is due in September, Nichole is due in November,
I'm due in December & Corrie is due in January.
Everyone is having a girl, except me.
I think that's okay though because Elijah
will have his pick of the girls. ha.
Needless to say our weekend was JAM-PACKED!
But we had a really good time seeing our friends and celebrating their days with them.
