Thank You Mickey D's

We've not had a whole lot going on around here lately. Just takin' it
easy at home... Watching Olivia drag out all her toys & watching Owen
sleep... That pretty much sums it all up. :-) Since I felt like the
walls were starting to close in on me & was craving some McDonald's (I
don't remember the last time that I had fast food), when Ben got home
last night we loaded up the car (the kids & I were in our pjs.. Yeah
real cute) and we went thru the drive-thru at good ol' Mickey D's.
This is Olivia with her first ever chicken nugget Happy Meal. She
really liked it. She looked adorable drinking her apple juice from the
juice box and not her sippy cup. My little girl is growing up. ;-)

Two Week Check-Up

Monday I took little man to the doctor for his two week check-up. I'm
always somewhat nervous whenever I have to take one of the kids to the
doctor. I think it's because I'm always anxious to see how they're
doing.. Growing, weight, etc.
Owen is doing great! When he was born he weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. When we
were discharged home he weighed 6 lbs. 19 oz. At his check-up he
weighed 7 lbs. 14.6 oz. Dr. Mudd said he is doing very good. He's also
already grown 1/2 an inch to 19 inches! He's one growing little boy. I
was happy to see that he's thriving like he is. It makes me one happy
little mama. :-)
Also, to note-- my little man has been sleeping thru the night!! Can
you believe it?? Two weeks old & sleeping all night!! Crazy! I'm
definitely thanking the good Lord for this. :-)

Sunday Morning

I can't help but post this...
I thought Olivia looked adorable this morning before her & Ben left to
go to church. I can't wait until me & little man will be able to go
with them, but he's still too little to go & be passed around. For
those who I go to church with that read my blog, please know that I
miss you guys & that I'm still thinking about everyone even though I'm
not there. We love you all!

Waiting on Daddy

This was the scene at our house last night while we were waiting on
Ben to get home from work. (please ignore the horrible quality of the
picture- it's hard trying to get a decent pic with your phone (since
it was the nearest camera) while holding two babies). But I have to
say, both my little ones are pretty sweet!

Bath Time

We can't actually give Owen a bath yet because of his umbilical cord,
but we have given him a couple of sponge baths. Much like his big
sister, he's not a fan of the sponge bath. However, I'm hoping he'll
come around when we can give him an actual bath. But I have to say, he
looks pretty cute in his hooded towel. ;-)

14 months!!

I can't believe it, but my little girl is 14 months old!! (Almost 15 months since I'm a little behind).
What is she up to these days??
One word: ALOT!!!
She is such a busy body lately. She really loves playing with her toys. For Christmas my mom bought her a play tea set & the tea pot sounds like it's actually pouring tea & everytime we "pour her some tea" she "takes a sip." it is the cutest thing!! She also LOVES her baby dolls. I truly believe that's why she's so good with Owen because we've tried to teach her to "love" her babies & let me tell you, it's worked. :-) She loves giving her babies hugs & kisses.
What else is she in to?
Let's see... This girl still loves to eat! We're finally breaking away from baby food & she's been eating everything we eat. For the most, she's done really well with the transition. She is also a little rattle box. She talks non-stop! (I'm not sure who she gets that from- lol!) Of course, we can't understand everything she says because most of it is jibberish, but a few of her favorite words lately: car car, pop pop pop, bubba, baby, papaw, chocolate, bye, hi, hey, then of course, mama & dada. :-)
I have to say, there's never a dull moment at our house! She's always kind of had a bed time, but when I was placed off work & in the hospital with Owen we got out of the routine. While we just started this week, around 7:30 we give her a bath, then get her ready for bed, then we read to her & then by 8:00 we say our prayers & then we put her to bed. This has worked out beautifully!! Olivia has always been a great sleeper, but she has been doing really good with her new routine.
All in all, she's getting to be a BIG girl! It's like Ben keeps saying, she's not a baby anymore. :-( I know she has to grow up, but it is happening soooo fast! We're having the absolute best time of our lives these days! These are definitely the moments that I want to cherish forever!

Olivia,
You are a GREAT big sister & the sweetest, most cutest daughter that I could ever hope for! I love you with all my heart!! You & now your little brother make our lives complete!
We love you sissy girl!
